While there are some similarities between Jewish mythology and Canaanite mythology, the origin of Jewish mythology is not solely based on Canaanite mythology. Jewish mythology draws from a variety of sources, including ancient Mesopotamian, Egyptian, and Persian myths, as well as unique Jewish traditions and beliefs. The influence of Canaanite mythology on Jewish mythology is present, but it is just one of many contributing factors to the rich tapestry of Jewish mythological stories and beliefs. **

Christians deny that their God, JHWH, was a Canaanite mountain god and had a wife named Asherah because it contradicts their understanding of God as a singular, all-powerful, and transcendent being. The belief in JHWH as a Canaanite deity with a wife is not supported by the teachings of the Bible, which presents God as the creator and ruler of the universe. Additionally, the idea of God having a wife goes against the monotheistic nature of Christianity, which emphasizes the belief in one God. Therefore, Christians reject the notion of JHWH being a Canaanite mountain god with a wife named Asherah as it does not align with their theological beliefs. **

Magical beings such as elves, fairies, and witches are often depicted as being able to perform magic because they are believed to possess a deep connection to the natural world and its energies. In many mythologies and folklore, these beings are said to have a special affinity for the elements and the mystical forces that govern the universe. Additionally, their magical abilities are often attributed to their inherent knowledge of ancient spells, rituals, and potions that have been passed down through generations.
